Whereby was founded in 2013 and provides video conferencing software to teams around the world. The company wants to bring flexible work culture to everyone. They live by their mission and the People team continues to innovate and lead by example.

Challenge
We worked with the People team on the development and visualisation of a new ‘performance snapshot’ tool to help Whereby managers lead their teams remotely. Our challenge was to create a set of clear visuals that simplified a very complex idea and would be useful for both manager and employee during performance discussions.
Solution
Working closely together, we created a rubric to help assess the challenges and performance of teams and start conversations around growth and expectations. Every word had to be examined and each element of the design solution had to aid understanding and communicate meaning; from colour and layout to axes and hierarchy.
